Tee Time: 11:00 AM Shotgun Start
Format: 2-Person Scramble, Gross Scores, Pre-flighted by Handicap (GHIN required)
Cost: $80 for Members | $125 for Non-Members
Tees:
  • Men 49 & younger: Blues
  • Men 50-64: Whites
  • Men 65+: Golds
  • Ladies: Reds

This exciting and fun event will test your skills like never before. With pins set in the most difficult positions and super-fast greens, every hole will be a true challenge. The 152nd Open Championship is right around the corner, taking place from July 18th to July 21st at Royal Troon. We want you to join in the fun and test your prediction skills. Simply guess the top 3 finishers and the winning score of The Open, and if your predictions are the most accurate, you’ll earn yourself a free round at Poplar Grove!
Here’s how to participate:
  1. Locate The Royal Challenge post on our Facebook Page
  2. Like the post and be sure to follow us on Facebook to be eligible for the prize.
  3. Comment your guesses on the top 3 finishers and the champion’s score under par on The Royal Challenge post. Acceptable answers for the score would be “-3” or “-11”
  4. Ensure your guesses are submitted by July 17th to be eligible for the prize.
  5. Here is an example of an acceptable entry:

We are excited to announce the 2024 “Red, White, and Blue” Golf Tournament at Poplar Grove Golf Club! Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 6th, and prepare for a day of fun, competition, and camaraderie on our beautiful course.

Date and Time: Saturday, July 6th, 9:00 AM Shotgun Start

Format: 18 holes, 2-Player Best Ball (Gross and Net Scores)

Teams choose 6 holes to play from the red tees, 6 from the white tees, and 6 from the blue tees. Both players must play from the same tees on each hole.

Prizes: Tee gifts for each player and prizes for the lowest-scoring teams

Lunch: BBQ, hot dogs, and hamburgers served from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM (included with entry)
