Dick Mast, Life Member PGA
Turning pro in 1972, Dick Mast has competed on the PGA TOUR, Korn Ferry, Champions Tour and the European Senior Tour. He has accumulated more than 650 starts in his professional career, including four Korn Ferry Tour wins and 46 top-ten finishes. Since earning status on the Champions Tour in 2001, Mast has collected 52 Top-25 and 16 Top-Ten results, including two, third place finishes at the Senior British Open. He also holds the four-round world record of 32 under par during a PGA-sanctioned tour school at Palm Air Country Club in Sarasota, Florida.
Mast has learned the secrets of the pros — from swing biomechanics and technical performance to course strategies and mental preparation. He is passionate about teaching and helping dedicated golfers at any level of play. Mast specializes in private coaching, clinics and playing lessons for players of all abilities, corporate outings, employee incentive programs and fundraisers.
Philip Porter
Philip is the Assistant Golf Professional at Poplar Grove Golf Club. Born and raised in Hillsville, a small town in southwestern Virginia, Philip began playing golf in his teen years. Through his father, Philip fell in love with golf, and developed a desire to help others succeed at the game. Philip attended PGCC, a golf management school in Bluffton, South Carolina where he learned the ins and outs of the golf business, including club repair, and teaching mechanics. Philip next attended Bluefield University studying Business Administration while also competing on the golf team. Philip is a student of the game and always willing to learning and help out whenever possible. Enrolled in the PGA Associate program, Philip is working towards his class A, PGA Membership.
