We are excited to announce the return of the Saturday Points Game at Poplar Grove Golf Club!
Event Details:
Date: Every Saturday from April 13th to October 26th, 2024
Time: Shotgun Start at 9:00 AM (times may vary based on season)
Format: 18-hole games with a Shotgun Start
Cost: $20 cash game fee, plus appropriate playing fee
How It Works:
All players are welcome, but an active USGA handicap is required to participate.
Players will compete in a Points Game where points are awarded as follows:
Double Bogey or worse: 0 points
Bogey: 1 point
Par: 2 points
Birdie: 4 points
Eagle: 6 points
Players will be given a quota of points to earn based on their handicap.
Additionally, there will be a gross-only skins game each week.
Tee Assignments:
49 and younger: Blue Tees
50-64: White Tees
65+: Gold Tees
Ladies: Red Tees
Season Long Competitions:
Ringer Leaderboard: Compete in a season-long ringer leaderboard competition for both net and gross scores. In a “Ringer” leaderboard, the best scores on any particular hole become the 18-hole scorecard for that player.
Points Competition: Earn points each week to climb the season-long points leaderboard. At the end of the season, the top 3 players with the most points will win a bonus purse.
Please note that there will not be a Points Game on the same day as club events that take place on a Saturday.

Look no further than the Wednesday Points Game at Poplar Grove Golf Club! Our weekly game kicked off on April 10th and is running every Wednesday through September 25th, it’s your chance to tee off, test your skills, and enjoy some great company.
Here’s what you need to know:
Date: Every Wednesday, starting April 10th, 2024
Time: Shotgun Start @ 5:30 PM
Format: 9 Holes
Participation: Everyone starts at 5:30 PM sharp!
Cost: $20 Cash Game plus appropriate playing fee
